She made no quick attempt to enter the world! Labor lasted a mere 6 days. My contractions worked really hard for the last 40 hours of the labor. We labored at home up until 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, in which we then headed into the hospital. Dean, my mom and Tom were there for the beginning of the hospital stay, and we were joined a few hours later by my aunt Nicky, uncle Kelly, aunt Laurie and cousins Maddie, Kyle and Adam. The support was wonderful! The family spent the night in the hospital, I'm sure entertaining other families and the nurses as they partied in the family waiting room!
Fourteen hours after admission, Maryn was here! My mom and Dean were there for the birth, and their support during the last few and most gruling labor hours was incredible. We feel so blessed and lucky to have such a beautiful daughter...one that will undoubtedly give us much joy, and headaches, in years to come!
