Mmmmm...Bacon Bits!

Dean and I were fortunate to be VIPs at the Bacon Brother's concert at the Hard Rock on March 29. Yah, we're special, we know. Us and 100 other Kevin Bacon spazoid fans! We felt like dorky gapers, and Dean's memorable statement to Kevin when we met him was, "What up, dude?" Admittedly, the Bacon Brothers are studs--they are talented musicians! Oh, and Kevin is friggin' sexy. Notice the resemblance between Kevin and Dean? (ok, I'm the only one that thinks that, but that's all that matters, right?).

Ya'll are now two degrees of separation if you actually know us!

Let It Snow (finally)!

What a welcome relief! Our backyard is boasting at least 14 inches of fresh snow, which we desperately needed. This is our first real snow storm of 2009. Maryn made her inaugural snowdude (with eco-friendly decor, such as berries and veggie sticks, supplied by her nanny Maddie).

Good Ole' Time at the Children's Museum

I took Maryn to the Children's Museum of Denver for the first time today (take advantage of the free admission for her before she turns 1!). I was very impressed at how enriching the museum is for babies. Lots of fun stuff to explore...for both of us!

Maryn chillin' on a lily pad in the "pond".

"Who's been sitting in MY chair?", said the papa bear.

Diggin' into the toy bin, only to find this gorgeous hat.

Maryn is starting to say, "tree", so it was great to get to play under a grove of them!

Yes, everything on this table ended up on the floor...multiple times.

Moving things from one pail to another; what a tough job.

Maryn, we wear the tutu, not eat it!

Maryn Celebrate's Mama's Birthday!

Today we celebrated my birthday by inviting Tom, Kristin and Hollan and Brittany and Michael (and all the dogs) over for breakfast. Since it was Brittany's bday last week, and Tom's is next week, we made it a Pisces Party. Dean whipped up some snazzy breakfast burritos (almost forgetting the eggs!), and Brittany fixed the crew some killer bloody marys. Delicious!

Are we having cake, or what?

Pookers and Hollan (we still can't believe this is 8 months age difference!)

Temper of an Irishman?

Just like the good old days...hanging out on the porch enjoying a beautiful March day.

Update from the 10th Month

The following photos are from Maryn's Month 10...somewhat chronological, but as you can guess, just getting these photos up for ya'll to check out is a feat in itself! During this month, Maryn started to make many leaps with her vocabulary and ability to recognize and immitate signs. She's been saying "Hi" since she was 9 months old, but during this month, she started to master words such as dada, mama, book, and milk (up until she hit 11 months old, she'd say "dilk" and then it became "dick"--fortunately she now says "milk"!). She learned how to sign "book" and "more", and always gave a sweet wave when she'd say "hi" to people.
As for locomotion, Maryn began to discover what it means to be a biped during month 10--she began holding herself up onto furnature and people. Baby steps began to develop. We completely gave up on trying to get her to crawl. However, she mastered the art of speed rolling during month 10!
