Maryn's Adventures in Moab

Maryn in her tent given to her by Tom and Kristin.
Smootch!

Delicate Arch.

What more does a dude need than a baby and his coffee?

Memorial Day 2008--Taking a 6-week-old camping in the desert proved to be a fun, and challenging, adventure. Maryn rode in the front of Dean's truck while I sat in the back since her car seat doesn't fit in the extended cab of the Toyota. She traveled like a champ! Getting in and out of a small tent with a newborn was interesting (I tried to limit my swaring to a minimum each time we crawled in and out of the tent). Maryn can claim that in her first 6 weeks of life, she has visited Arches National Park, hiked through her first canyon, had her diaper changed in some pretty cool places (a tent, in the sand, in the back of the truck, in the front seat of the truck, and on the lawn in front of McDonalds in Vail). Her booty has definately seen a lot in just a few short weeks!

Maryn got to meet her uncle Ken, aunt Kelly and cousins Kolten, Kollen and Kaden for the first time. We were also joined by many of our friends and their kids. In fact, six children were under the age of 1!
